Life Lessons Learned from Horses.
TRUST.......what a rare and valuable commodity in this world.
Throughout life, we continue to try and trust one another with information, physical and emotional needs, responsibilities, dependencies, morals, ethics, dreams....and some times we even encounter the wish or direct necessity to trust some one else with our lives or the lives of some one dear to us.
But what is trust, and why is it so often broken?
In my opinion, trust consists of several different things. Trust, is the ability to Totally Respect and Understand Someone else's Truth.
Although humans have a spoken language that in certain ways, makes it easier for us to communicate clearly, we very often fail to do so.
Carefully chosen words mask our real feelings and our body language seems to communicate something completely different than the spoken word. We are actually OUT OF SYNC with our SELVES.
Horses and other animals communicate almost entirely through body language for survival. This language has kept them in existence for millions of years.- A Life Lesson that we could learn from.
When communicating through body language, there are NO grey zones. There is ONLY black and white.
Trust is broken when communication fails, whereafter confusion and lack of understanding sets in. However, if there are no grey zones, there are no masks, no players, no falsities, and therefore no confusion.
When there is no confusion, then everyone is "on the same page" so to speak, seeing things "from the same point of view...
Now, this doesn't mean that everyone is necessarily in agreement, but the communication is totally clear and therefore the parties involved exist in the same reality.
When realities are the same or similar, people have the chance to connect, respect and truly understand the actions, thoughts or words of another person. The result is successful communication.
The beauty of it is:
When the shadows are gone, TRUST can begin to grow....
